Public Meeting - IS BRITAIN TOO UNEQUAL?
"UK income inequality is among the highest in the developed world and evidence shows that this is bad for almost everyone."
- The Equality Trust
On Monday 19th January we are hosting a public meeting at the Lancashire Fold, Kirkway, Middleton M24 1FL to discuss the damaging effects of economic inequality.
Research shows that living in an unequal society isn't just bad for those who have the least, it is bad for everyone! Inequality impacts on every aspect of our society - from the levels of trust we feel for our neighbours and our mental health, to the outcomes of our health and education systems! Could creating a more equal society be a panacea for creating the caring, sustainable, prosperous world we desire? And how can greater equality be achieved?
There will be a guest speaker from Equality North West, the regional branch of The Equality Trust, as well as a speaker from the Green Party.
Monday 19th January 2015
7.30 – 9.30 pm
